Southern Opera Theatre Company (SOTC) is a non-profit organization [501(c)(3)]. SOTC’S primary purpose is saving Opera, helping to revive it’s 400-year history and educate a new generation on the importance of Opera.

The Southern Opera Theatre Company seeks to produce high quality works from  standard operatic & musical theater repertoire. When possible and appropriate, we seek to work with regional composers and librettists in the development and presentation of new works, and to encourage and engage local young artists with established artists in these performances. Additionally, our goal is to promote outreach and audience education through various presentations.  To attract knowledgeable opera/musical theater patrons as well as potential new patrons.  Its professionally performed works will be offered at reasonable ticket prices, thus making The Southern Opera Theatre Company's presentations accessible to all who wish to explore and experience this art form.
